Rule 5
Hotel Must Have Amenities
(1) Tourist standard hotels should have the following facilities at least:-
(a) There should be at least ten bedrooms and all of them should have sufficient natural light and ventilation.
(B) Twenty-five percent of the rooms should have a bathroom and a toilet (bathroom) and for every other four rooms, there should be a required number of bathrooms and toilets.
(c) All rooms should have modern furniture and good arrangement of electricity.
(d) All rooms should be decorated in a way that reflects Nepali art and culture.
(e) Bathrooms and toilets should be equipped with good and strong equipment and adequate amount of hot and cold water should be provided.
(f) The reception room (reception counter) should be well decorated and fully equipped with telephone.
(g) The dining room (dining hall) and the kitchen should be clean and tidy with necessary equipment.
(h) There should be good arrangements for laundry.
(i) Most of the senior staff should be experienced in the hotel business and able to speak English.
(j) Employees' uniforms should be neat and uniform.
(k) Fan or heater should be arranged according to the season.
(l) Provision of first aid (first aid) and fire fighting equipment.
(2) Tourist accommodation and hotels of tourist level ranging from one star to five stars must have the facilities as specified by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation after taking the opinion of the committee established in accordance with Section 11 of the Act.
